The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation are shown below.

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

3. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2)
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst). SST: 09224-00011 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. | |
4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1)
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector. | |
(b) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.
(c) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst). SST: 09224-00011 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. | |
