PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) for Front Washer: (1) Remove the washer jar. (2) Disconnect the washer motor and pump assembly connector. HINT: This check should be performed with the washer motor and pump assembly installed on the washer jar. (3) Fill the washer jar with washer fluid. (4) Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the washer motor and pump assembly, and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2. (5) Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar. OK: Washer fluid flows from the washer jar. If the result is not as specified, replace the washer motor and pump assembly. |

(b) for Rear Washer: (1) Remove the washer jar. (2) Disconnect the washer motor and pump assembly connector. HINT: This check should be performed with the washer motor and pump assembly installed on the washer jar. (3) Fill the washer jar with washer fluid. (4) Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 2 of the washer motor and pump assembly, and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1. (5) Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar. OK: Washer fluid flows from the washer jar. If the result is not as specified, replace the washer motor and pump assembly. |
