INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily install the air conditioner unit assembly to the instrument panel reinforcement assembly with the 3 bolts.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
(a) Engage the 2 guides to temporarily install the instrument panel reinforcement assembly with air conditioner unit assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Connect each connector.
(c) Install the 4 bolts (A).
Torque:
25 N·m {255 kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf}
(d) Connect the brake pedal support assembly with the 2 bolts (B).
Torque:
35 N·m {357 kgf·cm, 26 ft·lbf}
(e) Temporarily install the nut.
(f) Engage the claw to connect the drain cooler hose to the piping clamp.
(g) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque:
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
(h) Install the 2 hole plugs.
3. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
(a) Engage each clamp.
(b) Connect each connector.
(c) Connect the ECU integration box RH with the bolt (B) and 2 nuts (D).
Torque:
Nut (D) :
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
(d) Connect the connector holder with the 2 nuts (C).
Torque:
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
(e) Connect the instrument panel wire with the nut (B).
Torque:
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
(f) Connect the instrument panel wire with the nut (A).
Torque:
8.4 N·m {86 kgf·cm, 74 in·lbf}
(g) Connect the earth wire with the bolt (A).
Torque:
8.4 N·m {86 kgf·cm, 74 in·lbf}
5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 6 claws to install the No. 1 air duct sub-assembly.
(b) Engage the clamp.
6. INSTALL CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER SUB DUCT
(a) Install the center heater to register sub duct with the 3 clips.
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the instrument panel reinforcement sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}
8. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the No. 2 instrument panel brace sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque:
Bolt :
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
Nut :
22 N·m {224 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf}
(b) Temporarily install the screw.
HINT:
Do not fully tighten the screw.
(c) Engage each clamp.
9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the No. 1 instrument panel brace sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque:
Bolt :
20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
Nut :
22 N·m {224 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf}
(b) Temporarily install the screw.
HINT:
Do not fully tighten the screw.
(c) Engage each clamp.
10. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY
(a) Tighten the 3 bolts, 2 screws and nut to install the air conditioner unit assembly.

NOTICE:
Tighten the bolts, screws and nut in the order shown in the illustration.
11. INSTALL PARKING ASSIST ECU (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System)

12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH MAIN BODY ECU

13. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 AIR DUCT
(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the rear No. 3 air duct.
14. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 AIR DUCT
(a) Engage the claw to install the rear No. 4 air duct.
(b) Install the clip.
(c) Install the front floor carpet assembly to its original position as shown in the illustration. | |
(d) Engage the 4 guides.
15. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT
(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the rear No. 1 air duct.
(b) Engage each clamp.
16. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT
(a) Engage the claw to install the rear No. 2 air duct.
(b) Install the clip.
(c) Install the front floor carpet assembly to its original position as shown in the illustration. | |
(d) Engage the 4 guides.
17. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
28. CONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE
(a) Connect the inlet heater water hose with the marking facing left and engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration. NOTICE: Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose. |

29. CONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE
(a) Connect the outlet heater water hose with the marking facing left and engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration. NOTICE: Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose. |

30. CONNECT NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
Compressor Oil:
ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
(c) Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
NOTICE:
Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.
(d) Connect the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
(e) Rotate the hook connector as shown in the illustration. | |
(f) Insert the hose joint into the fitting hole securely and install the bolt.
Torque:
9.8 N·m {100 kgf·cm, 87 in·lbf}
31. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
