ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM

(a) The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

Actuation Area-linked

When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.

  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light
  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Scuff Light*

Door Lock/Unlock-linked

When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light
  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Scuff Light*

Door Open/Close-linked

When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light
  • Scuff Light*
  • Engine Switch Illumination

When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Scuff Light*

Engine Switch-linked

When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Scuff Light*
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light

When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn off.

  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light

When the engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC or IG), the lights that operate turn on.

  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light
  • Engine Switch Illumination
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light

Shift Position-linked

When the shift lever is moved from P to any other position, the lights that operate dim.

  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light

Delay

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after the following condition is met, the lights that operate turn off:

  • An actuation area-linked function is used.
  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light
  • Door Ambient Illumination Light
  • Scuff Light*

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after the following condition is met, the lights that operate turn off:

  • An engine switch-linked function is used.
  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Scuff Light*
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after either of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:

  • The door unlock-linked function is active.
  • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the engine switch is off.
  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Scuff Light*
  • Footwell Light
  • Instrument Panel Box Light

BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) The battery saving control system has the following control functions:

Basic function

When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

HINT:

Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.

  • The engine switch is turned on (ACC or IG).
  • Any door is opened and closed.
  • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.
  • Any door is unlocked.
  • The key enters any exterior actuation area.
  • Front Dome Light
  • Rear Dome Light
  • Engine Switch Illumination
  • Instrument Panel Box Light
  • Footwell Light
  • Vanity Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Luggage Compartment Light Assembly
  • Courtesy Light Assembly
  • Scuff Light*

Interior light auto cut function

When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

HINT:

Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.
