PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side)

2. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

3. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)
Click here
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)
Click here
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)
Click here
6. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board sub-assembly. | |
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Disengage the claw and 3 guides. | |
(b) Disengage the 3 claws. | |
(c) Disengage the clip and 2 guides to remove the front seat cushion shield. | |
(d) Disengage the 2 clamps.
Wire Harness Guide |
(e) Separate the wire harness from the wire harness guide.
(f) Disengage the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover. | |
(g) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
(1) Disconnect the seat variable cushion switch connector. | |
(h) w/o Seat Position Memory System: (1) Disconnect the front power seat switch connector. | |
(i) w/ Seat Position Memory System: (1) Disconnect the 2 position control ECU and switch assembly LH connectors. | |
(j) Disconnect the front lumbar power seat switch connector. | |
8. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 2 screws. | |
(b) Disengage the clamp. | |
(c) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
(1) Disengage the hook. | |
(d) Disengage the claw and clip to remove the inner No. 1 front seat cushion shield. | |
9. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Sports Seat Type)
(a) Remove the screw. | |
(b) Disengage the clamp. | |
(c) Disengage the inner No. 1 front seat cushion shield from the clip as shown in the illustration.

(d) Disengage the claw. | |
(e) Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

(f) Disengage the 3 guides to remove the inner No. 1 front seat cushion shield. | |
(g) Remove the clip. | |
10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Sports Seat Type)
(a) Disengage the claw and 3 guides. | |
(b) Disengage the clip and 2 guides to remove the front seat cushion shield. | |
(c) Disengage the 2 clamps.
Wire Harness Guide |
(d) Separate the wire harness from the wire harness guide.
(e) Disengage the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover. | |
(f) w/o Seat Position Memory System: (1) Disconnect the front power seat switch connector. | |
(g) w/ Seat Position Memory System: (1) Disconnect the 2 position control ECU and switch assembly LH connectors. | |
(h) Disconnect the front lumbar power seat switch connector. | |
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD
(a) Disengage the claw and 3 guides. | |
(b) Disengage the claw and guide to remove the front seat inner cushion shield. | |
12. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob. | |
13. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob. | |
14. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

15. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

16. REMOVE FRONT LUMBAR POWER SEAT SWITCH

17. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Variable Seat Cushion System)

18. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 3 hooks. | |
(b) Disconnect the connector. | |
(c) Disengage the clamp.
(d) Disengage the fastener and separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

(e) w/ Seat Heater System:
(1) Disconnect the connector. | |
(2) Disengage the clamp.
(f) Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness. HINT: Disengage the 3 clamps first. | |
(g) Remove the 4 bolts. | |
(h) Disengage the 4 guides to remove the separate type front seatback assembly from the separate type front seat cushion assembly.
19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 screws. | |
(b) Disengage the 2 hooks to remove the front seatback board sub-assembly. | |
20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
(a) Disengage the 2 fasteners.

(b) Disengage the clamp to separate the front seat No. 2 wire. | |
(c) w/ Climate Control Seat System:
(1) Disengage the 2 claws to separate the seatback climate control blower. | |
(d) Disengage the 10 hooks. | |
(e) Disengage each claw and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports. | |
21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and disengage the 3 brackets. |

(b) Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.
22. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 12 hog rings to remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad. | |
23. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 5 seat cover wires. | |
24. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Standard Seat Type (w/ Seat Heater System))

25. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and disengage the 2 brackets. |

(b) Remove the front seatback pad with cover.
26. REMOVE SEATBACK FELT
(a) Remove the seatback felt.

(a) Disengage each claw to remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors. | |
29. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
31. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Disconnect the connector. | |
(b) Disengage the 2 clips to remove the seatback climate control blower. | |
32. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 2 WIRE
(a) Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front seat No. 2 wire.
33. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) w/ Seat Heater System:
(1) Disconnect the connector. | |
(2) Disengage the 4 clamps.
(b) w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:
(1) Disengage the 10 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
(c) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
(1) Disengage the 2 fasteners.

(4) Disengage the 7 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
34. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) w/o Variable Seat Cushion System: (1) Remove the 6 hog rings. | |
(b) w/ Variable Seat Cushion System: (1) Remove the 2 hog rings. | |
(c) Remove the 18 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad. | |
35. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE (for Standard Seat Type)
(a) Remove the 6 seat cover wires. | |
36. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Standard Seat Type (w/ Seat Heater System))

37. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)
(a) w/ Seat Heater System:
(1) Disconnect the connector. | |
(2) Disengage the 4 clamps.
(b) Disengage the 10 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion pad with cover.
38. REMOVE FRONT SEAT VERTICAL ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (w/ Variable Seat Cushion System)
(a) Remove the 4 nuts. | |
(b) Disconnect the connector. | |
(c) Disengage the clamp to remove the front seat vertical adjuster assembly.
39. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

40. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control duct from the seat cushion climate control blower assembly. | |
41. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 screws and seat cushion climate control bracket from the seat cushion climate control blower assembly. | |
42. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
(a) Disconnect the connector. | |
(b) Remove the seat cushion climate control blower assembly. | |
43. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for TMC Made)
(a) Disengage the clip (A). | |
(b) Disengage the hook.
(c) Disengage the clip (B) to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.
44. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for TMMC Made)
(a) Disengage the clip. |

(c) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.
45. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

46. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH
(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide to remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH. | |
47. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
48. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE
(a) Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front seat wire.
49. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front seat wire RH.
50. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 6 hooks to remove the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly from the front seat adjuster assembly. | |
51. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP
(a) Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps. | |
