NOTICE:

  • If the battery is connected, the parking brake will operate when the electric parking brake switch assembly is pulled to the lock side even if the engine switch is off, Do not operate the electric parking brake switch assembly with the battery connected unless specified in the repair manual.
  • To prevent the electric parking brake system from operating when the shift lever is moved, make sure that AUTO function (shift-linked function) is off.
  • After the engine switch is turned off, the parking brake ECU assembly (brake actuator assembly) and parking brake actuator assembly continue operating for 20 seconds. If a connector is disconnected during this period, a DTC may be stored.
  • If any part is removed and installed, check for DTCs to make sure that the normal system code is output after all parts are installed.

    • When the electric parking brake switch assembly is pulled to the lock side 2 times (2 lock operations), the maximum amount of braking force is applied.
